.:: divxenc - the interactive shell script ripper ::.
Welcome to the official Web site of the divxenc script for Linux. A shell
script which makes it easy to encode DVDs, (S)VCDs or video files to the FMP4/DivX video format
using MEncoder from the MPlayer project. Here you can find more information
about divxenc and the features it supports as well as a FAQ on various issues.
So look around here and if you still have some unanswered questions or you want to report a bug or make a suggestion, please do drop me a mail. See Contact for my e-mail address. If you are looking for something to encode to H.264 video, then visit my h264enc project or xvidenc for encoding to Xvid. For batch encoding of audio, check out audenc.
divxenc is no longer actively developed and is in maintenance mode. This means that only bugs are fixed and any further development has ceased. All focus is on ffx264, ffhevc and ffxvid at the moment.
